Attendees at the event enjoyed a performance by musician John Legend and dined on Cipriani’s famed Italian food while bidding on luxurious auction items including a Valentino evening bag, a Frabel Tulip Garden, autographed memorabilia from Oscar winning actor Morgan Freeman, a hotel package at the exclusive 60 Thompson Hotel in New York, and a Bakana purse, necklace and earring set worn by Terri Hatcher on Desperate Housewives to name a few.

Goodybags were distributed and featured a copy of Petra’s recently published book “Love Always, Petra: A Story of Courage and the Discovery of Life's Hidden Gifts.” Petra, who survived last year's Asian Tsunami, describes her account of terror and fear into a book in which she recounts the dreadful tragedy that cost millions of lives including her boyfriend Simon Atlee.

David Copeland from Frabel Glass Art attended the event and presented Petra with a Frabel original design “Butterfly” for her efforts of rebuilding the lives of the children affected by the devastating tsunami.

The event also recognized News Anchor Diane Sawyer and Actress Sandra Bullock for their dedication to raise awareness and much needed funds for the relief efforts. Actor Bruce Willis, actor/comedian Chris Tucker, magician David Blaine, and a host of Supermodels also attended the event.

The after-party took place at the exclusive Bungalow 8 club where partygoers stayed until the wee hours of the morning.
